You know, that moment? When you have an absolutely brill idea for a piece, and it seems to be the most magnificent thing you've ever seen-- like a snowfall, cool and glittering? Yet it slips away so quickly. It frosts the ground, leaves a cold snap in the air, lingers in your brain, and your childish mind tries to cling to it, to behold it again. But it's gone baby, gone. You'll never chase that cold fronted inspiration again.
I'm just glad I caught this snowflake before it fell.
I STILL FUNCTION
Um, hi y'all. I'm here. After, like, a year, I'm here. Coming back has been such an experience, both for better and for worse. It's kind of bittersweet. But I'm trying to look past the bad and see the good. I'm in new fandoms after all this time on tumblr, and have matured so much. I'm in a much better place psychologically, and hope to get back in the groove of things here on dA. Love y'all

Life Update
All's well on my end. Finished half of my summer reading assignment, finished my volunteering terms, which were loads of fun, and having tons of relaxing time. It's been a pretty good balance of leisure and productivity this summer; I'm really enjoying it. I still have about a month left. The time can't come late enough! Though I do miss my friends. By the way, our previously mentioned kitten has settled in quite nicely. She's quite feisty, and is a bottomless bit of hunger. Surprisingly, our eldest has taken to her, in a way. I think she sees a bit of herself in the new one. :P
